2. Principles
This website is deliberately built to be data-minimal: no tracking, analytics or marketing services are used, no advertising cookies are set, and no fonts or scripts are loaded from third-party servers. All fonts and resources are delivered from our own server.
3. Hosting and server log files
The website is hosted with DigitalOcean, LLC (105 Edgeview Drive, Suite 425, Broomfield, CO 80021, USA) on a server located in a European data center. When you visit the website, the server automatically processes technical access data (IP address, date and time, requested file, referrer URL, browser type) required to deliver the site and to ensure stability and security.
The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). Log data is deleted or anonymized after 14 days at the latest. A data processing agreement with EU standard contractual clauses is in place with DigitalOcean.
4. Cookies and local storage
The consent dialog on this website distinguishes three categories: Necessary (always active — stores only your choice with a timestamp in the local storage entry «mt-consent»; no personal data), Statistics and External services & marketing. No service is currently integrated in the latter two categories; such services would only be loaded after your explicit consent. No cookies are set for analytics or advertising purposes. You can review and change your selection at any time via the «Cookie settings» link in the footer; consent can thus be withdrawn as easily as it is given (Art. 7(3) GDPR).
5. Contact form
When you use the contact form, the data you enter (first and last name, e-mail address, subject, message) is transmitted to us by e-mail and stored for the purpose of processing your enquiry. The legal bases are Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual measures) and your consent pursuant to Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR. The data is deleted once it is no longer required for processing and no statutory retention obligations apply.
6. Newsletter
Newsletter registration uses a double opt-in procedure: the subscription only becomes active after confirmation via the link sent by e-mail; the time of registration and confirmation is logged. Upon registration, your name and e-mail address are processed on the basis of your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR) in order to send you information on tokenization and opportunities. You may withdraw your consent at any time with effect for the future — via the unsubscribe link in every issue or informally to info@trendforce-consulting.com. After withdrawal, your data is removed from the distribution list.
7. Third-country transfers
The controller is a company based in the USA; the hosting provider is also a US company with European data centers. Where personal data is transferred to the USA, this is based on EU standard contractual clauses (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR) or — where applicable — a certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework.

9. Data security
All transmissions are TLS-encrypted (HTTPS). Servers and applications are hardened and kept up to date in line with the current state of the art.
